Event Time and Date

Thursday, February 23 2017, 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM

The 2016 election introduced many Americans to what was previously a non-mainstream group, the alt-right.  The alt-right is a group that rejects traditional conservatism and advocates for a far-right, ethno-nationalist movement that claims that traditional “white” values and Western Civilization are under attack from immigrants, multiculturalism, feminism, political correctness, Muslims, and Jews.  The alt-right groups and leaders argue for a hyper-nationalist and racist campaign that can no longer be ignored by peoples of all faiths.  This conference will examine how Catholics can respond to the rise of groups like the alt-right and other ethno-nationalist movements in the United States.
