Event Time and Date
The final event in the CUA Gaels Language and Culture week which will take place between March 13th and March 17th, this will be a coffee hour with sweets and will be a send off as well. The event will take place from 12:30 in the afternoon until roughly 2:30 in the McMahon Hall Foyer. Some setup will be required beforehand. A member of the CUA Administration (most likely Frank Persico) will be there to deliver some closing remarks.
President Garvey, faculty, and staff from Irish Studies, The Gaels and area alumni invite everyone to the McMahon Foyer for the Irish Week closing ceremony. This event will also serve as a kick off for the day's bake sale with all proceeds benefiting refugees in exile. There will be free coffee on hand for all attendees.
Irish Heritage Month
First celebrated in 1991, Irish American Heritage Month honors the contributions of Irish citizens to American life, and provides an opportunity to reflect on the diversity of Irish American culture. March was designated as Irish American Heritage Month in order to coincide with St. Patrick's Day.
