One of Us tells the story of the Catholic and Austrian farmer, Franz Jägerstätter, who refused to serve in the Wehrmacht of Nazi Germany during the Second World War as a conscientious objector. He was thus executed in 1943. He was named a martyr and was beatified by Pope Benedict XVI in 2007.

One of Us is a documentary with reenactment scenes 38 minutes in length. The team conducted more than 20 interviews for the film, including with the daughters of Franz Jägerstätter, biographer Erna Putz, scientists, representatives from church and military, as well as high school students. The reenactment scenes are played by 17 actors, including Daniel Alvermann as Franz Jägerstätter and Rebecca Seidel as Franziska Jägerstätter. The historic footage material has been provided by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., among others.

One of Us had its cinema premiere in 2015 in Austria, and won prizes for best professional production and the audience award at the festival “Oberösterreich im Film”.
